Congratulations!
My math brain has stopped.
If the course is 12.42 miles, and his speed is 11 m 21 secs, what is his average speed?
Was that snow up there?

Congratulations
I can see why Jess broke his record with the all asphalt road.
1. I wonder why he chose the AAR hood. Chrysler Plymouth did wind tunnel test to get the air flow correct. They changed the hood opening a couple times to get the flow.
2. I felt the urge to want to go faster.
3. Jess did mention how he calibrated his air fuel the first time he ran......The Pike.

Wow, Thats quick on that road.
I averaged 40 mph on a Kaw 750 going up to Lookout Mtn in Golden back in 1982 and thought that was fast.

http://www.unitarium.com/speed-calculator

 :stirpot:

That calculator works, decided to try to see if I could remember how to get the answer with math.
Took .21seconds x 60 seconds/min = .35 min, 12.42 miles / 11.35 minutes = 1.094 mpm x 60 minph= 65.64mph.

Miles divided by min x 60 , easier than I was making it out to be at first.

I'm curious as to how they tune the carb for the elevation changes. Cool stuff!

Brad,

It's your turn to do Pike's Peak.   :grinyes:

Awesome just awesome! They talk about being smooth, I'll say, it almost seems if he's going too slow, but he's not so neat hearing the motor run like that.  :2thumbs:

Killer roadcourse with it's dangerous curves and cliffs.
Some of those cliffs are instant death if you make a mistake.
