rally ac/heater switch for non ac
« on: November 26, 2014 - 07:16:19 PM »
I am using a rally ac/heater switch with a non ac heater box, would it work correctly?   The vacuum lines cannot be  used, will the switches control the heater, defroster, etc?

You need the vacuum to change the position of the switches inside the heater the on off switch will not work

You're trying to hook up an ac bezel on on non-ac car?

I think the switch to control the fan speed interchanges - the wiring diagram seems to indicate that it would.
The non-ac bezel has heat and temp levers.  The ac bezel has the temp lever.  You might be able to get temp to work.
The ac bezel used the vacuum lunes for ac/heat/defrost as you mentioned.

Yes will be using a rally ac switch panel on a non ac heater box.  As far  as I figured, the vacuum lines control the actuators on the "blend" doors.  Maybe one door opens and closes for heat or defrost another door for ac.  I think the cable could work on the non ac box to switch from heat to defrost.
