70 challenger ek2 car
« on: December 03, 2014 - 01:31:23 AM »
As most of us all here I'm always looking for a new deal on a car....even though I'm not close to finishing mine yet lol.

I came across a 70 ek2 340 4 SPD car with burnt  orange  interior and  a white  bumblebee  stripe. The car has need sand blasted. Lower quarters and trunk cut out. There is new metal for the car.it has a motor that just cam back from the machine shop and is with in a month of build date. Don't believe  the trans Is matching. The car is from California  when he bought it. No accidents. The bad is someone  put a sunroof  in it at one time. He cut a patch but it isn't any good so it will need a whole roof I think.

The car was complete when tore down and everything  is there and in great shape. New interior  minus dash. What is this thing worth? Is this a popular  colour combo?

I'm just keeping my eyes open for my next project.  It could take me 5 years to get to it but at least  I would have it. Cause in another  5 years they  are  going to be harder to find. I decoded it but can't post the picture for some reason

EK2 is a popular color.  Go Mango !   Sweet lookin color !!
A66 is a cool option also.

Is there a build sheet?
Clear title?
Window stickers or any factory/dealer documentation?

Since there is a rebuilt motor, new/conplete interior, rebuilt tranny.
I'd probably say 12K.

He didn't find the build sheet. It's located to me about 3 hours away. It has been imported  awhile ago. Rear bumper re chromed. It has a clear title. Never asked about documents. Car is not listed for sale.

Sport hood is different  than the rallye hood. It's the one with the raised scoops?
My cuda has a j 54 sport hood. Anyone have a picture of a 70 challenger with this combo? Orange with white bumblebee

He is  asking alot less than that. I know vitamin c is a popular  colour. Is the burnt orange interior and white stripe rare?

Where is it exactly ? :naughty:

It's a neat combo, probably not that rare...My friend has a T/A that combo (with black stripes of course)

12 K is what I think the market will bare.
I personally would be in at 6-7K.
Hope you get yourself a deal.

I personally really like colored interior cars.  They have their own following.
Black interior's are just kind of blah.  Same ole thing that everyone has.  So I feel the colored interior holds a little value.   :2cents:

Just talked with the the owner again  and it's a center conceal  delete car. The only parts he does t have are the gas cap and the  front window.  There is alittle  rust around the windows but just a small patch. Transmission is numbers matching only the motor is missing.
