Installed the radiator today, the old radiator had some rust yogurt which needed flushing.

The Champions 3 core radiator needed a beet of adjusting, and also the battery pan needed modification so that the expansion tank would fit on the driver side.

Will keep you guys posted!

I think the car is better then an SE, its basically an RT w/o all the bells and whistles on the outside..
A66 code is a factory 340 car just the stripe on the trunk offering any idea whats under the hood.
Cars looking good :)

Tell me you power back flushed that block? Clean original car you've got there. What temperature thermostat?

Luckily, the old thermostat blocked any of that rust soup into the block.

But will flush the engine a couple of times too.

180F Thermostat.

Put a viscous fan and fan shroud like factory air conditioned cars have you'll need it when you fit the air conditioner so it can pull enough air through the condenser when stationary. Interesting to see the V8 emblems on the front fenders some A66 cars have R/T emblems apparently from the factory and that dash clock is rare and very cool, overall your car is a very nice, rare Mopar and your dad should love it.

After contacting champions radiators,  they told me that the best setup is the clutch fan,  I did not tell them I will add vintage air.  They already have the shroud and fans for it.  The 1970 340 is not an R/T,  the 340 R/T only came in 71, that's what I was told.  But thank you for stopping by.

I know the car is a JH and so are all the other A66 cars but there have been some that have R/T emblems fitted and may have been there from new ToxicWolf's car is one and T8tr23 has a barn find A66 with R/T emblems and I seen another I can't recall who's car it will be interesting if some more A66's turn up with R/T emblems. Viscous fan is a clutch fan it's coupling (clutch) is controlled by viscous fluid.

That's great info,  cause I wanted to slap R/T badges but didn't want to be a clone.  Now I can at least feel good about it. I will check those fans thank you a lot for your help.

I have a car with the V8 emblems and was thinking about changing them also but noticed the V8 ones are set back further while the R/T ones are more central under the Challenger emblem so the holes from the V8 emblem may need to be filled, your car is very rare and cool with any emblems I'd probably leave the original ones in place that's what I've decided to do with my car.

Well I can mix and match.

I don't want the R/T on the side.  I can just have it in the rear and Grill.
