The Barracuda just may be the very first 2 tone unibody ever made?

V02 is the code for two-tone paint, a V02 car would have the regular vinyl top mouldings, but instead of vinyl the top would be painted a color different than the lower body color. V02 was available on A, B,C and E-bodies. They are most commonly seen on the B-bodies for some reason though.

I have not seen a M46 car with V02 yet.

Barry

If anyone would like some closeup pics of this option, let me know.  I have three of these cars including the red one posted by T/A.  He emailed me this post, so I have registered in order to reply.  I have several pics. of an FF4 318 car with green interior and 318 with A/C, one of the ones I own.  I also have a 383+2bbl car made the very first day of production out of the Los Angeles plant.  It is 100076 on the VIN , it has a rally dash, front rubber bumper and is FY1 with a black interior.  I have a mini-registry of 16 of these cars including two convertibles.  The coolest color combination I have seen on a fender tag is:  EW1 with E4 interior and a 383 four speed.  Sadly, like so many base model 70 and 71 Barracuda's, it has been "upgraded" and is now lime green with black interior with no sign of the M46 option.

Barry:  I am not familiar with how to post pics., also they are all on my office computer.  So, whoever wants them, I would be more than happy to send them as long as I can get your email addresses.  I have yours already Barry,  maybe I can send them all to you and you can post them.  If you would all like, I can give you a very accurate description of all that is included in the M46 option, it is more than you think!  Barry, just for controversy sake, why don't you post pics of the 71 Barracuda's shown in the "23" section of your 70-71 parts book.  There are a couple of pages showing a 71 Barracuda with them.  Check pages 23-458 and 23-462 in your book(one hardtop and one convertible!).  I have a color photo showing a 71 convertible that is EL5 with a lower black border around the car, just as if it was equipped with the M46 option. As far as I know the option was only available in 1970, however..................?!
