Nice purchase. I hope you restore it and enjoy it. Love the color. I was watching that auction.

Your VIN is the highest.

Here is the closest other car that I have in my records:

First or last it does not really matter a hill of beans, what matters most is the fact it is still around.

Drive it and enjoy it, 71 Cudas are the coolest!

I agree it would be very hard to prove it was the last one built. There is the same debate going on with the last 71 Hemi Charger built. One has a higher Vin Number but the other has a later build date. My 70 R/T has a built date of 11-20 on the fender tag but the Door Jam sticker say 12-69. I was told this happens when the car is either missing some part or was pushed off the side because of some damage. Sure enough when I restored it on the driver side door there were 3 tiny dents under the original paint. My 70 340 car had a build date of July 3 . b At the time I called Galen and it was the last 340 4-sp he had registered but did have a hemi car and two 440-6 cars later than that all the way up to July 20th which was the last day of production. Really you will never know for sure so just be happy you got a 71 Cuda--LOL.

When I was going to a lot of local shows about 10 years ago I used to see this guy from Grand Island, NY all the time. He had a 1971 black Cuda 440 six pack 4 speed car with a Power Bulge hood instead of a Shaker hood and tan interior. During one of our many conversations he said his car was the last documented 440 six pack Cuda ever made. Maybe he was referring only to 440 six pack cars but he was really into the hobby and I have no reason to not believe him.

George's car was built in mid June 1971. If I remember correctly it was June 14 a few weeks ahead of this Cuda.
