Nice, very interested. I have a question before I contribute. Will there be instructions/info/tutorials for those of us who is newbies to Hemi swaps? (Hemi Swaps for Dummies! ;)). You guys that knows a lot seem to jump right in to it. I have been reading a lot and trying to catch up with the lingo and I got some of it, but I still can not find a good tutorial that explains the process of the computer, tables, all the sensors and their behaivors from scratch. When I do my swap, I wanna know everything about how it works.

To answer your question, yes, there will be a step by step tutorial and education session.

I will base it on our E bodies as they are similar to A and B bodies and most of the parts will be the same.

I will break the tutorial into segments, similar to the following;
1) mating engine and transmission ( for those using 904, 727, A-833, tremec 5 speed, T56
2) installing the powertrain into the vehicle (adapters, modifications)
3) supporting hardware (radiator, wiring harness, PCM options, air filter assembly, fuel system, vacuum, hydroboost brakes
4) calibrating PCM's for stand alone applications
5) acronym and lingo appendix
6) shopping checklist

Yeah, was gonna post there, but with some search I saw your account so I thought it was better coming from the source himself.

Might want to look into LXforums, I've seen a couple restomod & racecar builds there so there might be interest....

Lots of great information. This isn't just for restro installs. There are a lot of 03 Ram guys that have been looking for better ways to tune their trucks. This includes stand alone tuners and 05 PCM swaps. The Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APPS) used on a 03 Ram is the box that converts mechanical movement to a FBW electronic signal and is also a convenient place to tie in the TV cable on 727/A518 trans. I'm in the process of replacing my 545rfe with a A518 in my 03. Keep this going...

A little off topic here, but is there an issue with the 545rfe? Why swap for an A518? 545rfe is a popular swap when doing a hemi conversion and I've been thinking about one with my 6.1 that I'm swapping into my 74 Chally.

Come on guys. Let's get this database going! :villagers:

BTW, yes, I've contributed. I was the second one.
