What 4 barrel Carb Will Fit Under A Shaker
« on: December 22, 2014 - 05:05:05 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm really confused here.  I want to get a new carb and I've always had a lot of success with Holley DP's. It's going on my 340, single 4 barrel.  I'm changing my car to a shaker car and I've heard that only Edelbrock carbs will fit besides Thermoquads (which I don't want).  I'm getting mixes answers on what will fit and what won't.  Apparently there is something about the base plates?  I want to make sure before I spend the money what I get will fit.

Can we come to a general consensus on what will fit?   :clueless:  Thanks

Dave

As I stated in the other thread  . . . I have a proform 750 on my convertible with a shaker hood . . . I will post some pics of my setup soon if you want.  I think it fits good.

I know I was just trying to get more input before I spent the money.  Why is the Proform such a good carb?

I have an Eldebrock 650 and Eldebrock dual plane stock replacement intake (forgot #)  with 1/2 spacer on my shaker and it fits perfect.
