My 2nd cuda story

I purchased this 70 barracuda while I was still working on the first cuda I had purchased.
Put it together to a running car but did not finish any details by any means. 
Had to sell the car.  8 years ago. 
It had a pretty serious bent rear frame rail on the passengers side. 
Fully disclosed this information to the purchaser.  Told him it needed to be fixed before painting.

About 4 years ago the owner emailed me a few pictures just to show me that he had done something with the car.
I keep expecting to find this car on Craigslist when someone figures out what is really going on back there on the frame rail.
Why they didn't fix the problem before paint is beyond me.

Maybe he did fix the rail? Or did he say he didn't?

Look at the pic of the passengers side purple paint.

You can see how the "crisp" center body line dips down at the rear wheel opening. 
that is the main problem with the frame rail bend.
But it also did not let the trunk lid line up correctly at all.
Basically the whole rear corner of the passengers side dipped down about 1/2" from original.

what a different thinking person,  painting it like that...  :screwy:  talk about throwing away money.  I wonder how he even got the door to close...

surprisingly, all the doors and trunk lid still opened and closed with no issues.  Aside from visual.   But, maybe he has a boat load of money to throw to the wind.

Show car or driver you should fix a bent frame rail before doing any body and paint work, that`s just common sense! Is it me or does the front fender looked flaired out a bit?

Your absolutely right.  As a beater driver, no big deal.  As a painted car, absolutely.
