Went and picked up the seats from the amish people today. I would have tried to do them myself, but the amish are cheap and they do great work. As you might have known, these seats have caused me tons of grief and Im just glad to see them finished. I had a before pictures but somehow my memory card was erased. Anyhow, here are the pictures....ohh and thankyou 4C for hookin me up with the frame I needed to make it all work.

 WOW those look great! I really need to redo my seats and replace the foam too, but after looking at Year Ones prices on everything  I don't know what to do. So how much did that cost ya for everything?

I bought the skins and seat foams off "A1canvas" on ebay, the total with shipping was just a tad over 400 bucks. As for the installation cost, the local shops wanted 150-250 PER seat and would take 2 weeks. While, the amish wanted 120 to do BOTH and would take about a month.  So I went with the amish and am very happy that I did. On a side note, the amish people were amazed by the quality, they said they were the best aftermarket skins that they've seen. Also, I had to buy a frame for one of the seats, but that cost shouldnt apply to many so without that factored in, the total was a little less that 550 bucks. Well worth it to me, I just cant wait to get my SE seats reupholstered.....

Sorry to get off subject, but am curious. Aren't  Amish people the ones that don't want anything to do with modern things of the civilized world? Like electricity, and cars. I heard they use horses and buggies to get around. And wear black hats and the guys have beards and the gals have little white bonnets.Cuz it really surprises me that they did your seats. Did they use candles to install them when it was dark?

Yes, those are the amish and they do use horse and buggies to get around. For my installation, all the amish had to do was use steam to warm the skins up(just fire and water, nothing techy about it) and hog-rings to attach them. They also do custom coverings and use a steam-powered...yes i said steam-powered, sowing machine for that. As for the dark, they usually work from the crack of dawn till a couple hours before darkness.....in their houses they use candles though.

Hmm, I wonder if the Amish community in the Portage/Poynette area would work on mine.  They look great, Killer!!!
