Got a New AMD Elastomeric rear bumper for my Cuda!
« on: January 06, 2015 - 11:29:53 PM »
My Xmas Present to myself.   A new rear AMD Elastomeric bumper!  Got for a very reasonable price on  :ebay:.   Can't wait to get in painted and installed on my Cuda.  Too bad AMD discontinued these bumpers, they look awesome!   I still need the front 71 bumper, but don't know where to get one.  Gene's website in no longer up!  Anyone have any hints.

Nice!

Just went looking on ebag and there were none for sale.

Even the chrome one's are costing 50 bucks more than a year ago.

Jegs still has them listed.  That doesn't mean they actually have them though.   :dunno:

I just bought a front elastomeric bumper for my Cuda from Classic Industries, I had a 25% off discount code.   :bananasmi   It is a nice piece, too bad these are not correct for a 71.

Topcat, did you check Classic Industries for the rear bumper?

Yeah I wish AMD had made the 71 front.  I would have ordered one a couple months ago!

Got ahold of Gene Gregory today, and Purchased a 71 front bumper.  He is cleaning out his inventory right now on EBay, and His shop is up for Sale.  So anyone needs any elastomeric bumpers better get them now.

How much does he charge for a 71 front bumper ? Does he want a core ? What about shipping ?

I also just bought one from Gene Gregory.  His daughter told me he is getting ready to retire.  Didn't really need it yet, but did not want to take a chance on not being able to find one in the future.

Nice Paul,   That was my feeling.  I had a fiberglass front on there before.  But didn't want to miss out on getting the real thing!
