Thank you Mark. Just waiting on your install on Toxicwolf's Challenger. The Cuda R&D is Done.. I should be able to order parts after that. I have 3 Cuda (non-spoiler ) hydraulic strut set ups ready.... I am waiting for more info on the cost on cylinders to get a price on the hydraulic kit..

Sorry for the time lapse guys, Still working a few problems on these. With the cylinder pressures different between Cuda and Challenger and the spoiler weights different too , Its taking a little bit to get it dialed in.Hopefully I should know something soon. The cylinder manufacturer is in Germany so when I change a size or something it takes longer . I really can't finalize a price till I get all this straightened out ... Pictures are from a install in a Challenger with a go wing...

actually I bought the cylinders at a swap meet for a dollar each, at the time I didn't know what length I needed so I both 2 sets of differing lengths. I will measure it and see if there is a name. These are simple truck topper hydraulic cylinders, can be purchased at any number of places. We happen to have a truck and trailer accessories place nearby so that is where I went to get the ball stud to put into the trunk hinge and trunk floor bracket that I made. Mine are welded in as this is a pretty big overall change (notice the antenna on the right rear quarter). You could do the same by bolting the bracket down (Id recommend a support plate underneath).

I like the concept that started this thread, however I wonder what level pain it would be to remove them once the car is fully assembled should a cylinder go bad. depending on the price, maybe I will try this one out on my Challenger.

The problem with the inexpensive struts is they go bad over time and carry no warranty.. The struts I use are made in Germany and have a 2 year warranty. The cylinders in my kit remove very easy from the ball stud , plus are custom designed to your E-body and remain mostly hidden from the trunk compartment ,not occupying valuable trunk space..Cudas and Challengers require different cylinders as ones with spoilers and luggage racks. I did this very same mod on my AAR clone back in 2005 and was working well when I sold it in 2010..

Absolutely not trying to "dis" your set up in anyway, I think it is very ingenious and appears well made. Perhaps I missed but, but did you post any prices? Id be interested in what a Challenger with TA spoiler would cost.

I could not make out the brand, however the barrel length is 9.5" and the OAL is 15.75.
