THis was the king of unpainted cars. It took me about 7 or 8 years to finally get it painted  :roflsmiley:

I got the side markers assembled and in today. I've got a friend coming over on Sunday to position the dash a little better and get the windshield in  :2thumbs:

Thanks Guys!

My Buddy came over today to help me with the windshield. My real problem was the dash was sitting about a 1/4 inch too high on the driver side for the windshield to clear.

We shot a light under the dash pad and it proved that it wasn't the pad hitting the windshield frame.

We took off the defroster vent and that wasn't holding it up.

Then my friend says that it's just bottoming out on the driver side bottom bolt at the kick panel area. We used the grinder and raised the slot another 1/4 inch and that's was all it took.

Then the windshield went in without a hitch.

So I still need to do the headliner and I know itS easier with the windshield and rear window out. But I ended up with all the glass in and I haven't tackled the headliner.

Oh well, Im Sure it can be done. But not as easy as when the glass is out.

At least I got the windshield in. I was stressing over why the driver side dash sat up a hair. Now that it's resolved I can get the steering column in and power up  :bananasmi

Yea, then you will power up, then test drive   :burnout:   And never get that headliner in.   :roflsmiley:   How often you going to look up anyway.

LoL! Too funny. You gotta put some rear window louvers on that baby! Email me some details...... I'm not used to seeing you in a hard top  :wow:

BTW, I just ordered bigger wheels for the back of my car. I was too conservative the first time round. What size wheels are they? Nice  :2thumbs:

I was thinking the same thing Louvers might look good. The rears are 22" (not sure tire size) and the fronts are 20" 245/35/20. It had a minor engine fire and needs some work. I should have it next week.
