I've had my '70 'Cuda five years now and it's still not fully painted, shell and rear quarters only; so I feel some of your pain.  (I'm at the mercy of my best friend who is my paint and body man and extremely busy)  At least I can start assembly now as soon as I heal from major back surgery.  Mine is also black with a Shaker hood.  I was going to go with the hockey strip delete (like my original Triple Black '70 Cuda) and the Argent Shaker bubble.  But after over-dosing on Mecum and Barrett Jackson auctions this past month, I really came to love the Black '67 Vettes with the red Stinger hood and black '70 Chevelles with cowl induction and red stripes.  Even though my car is matching nos. I'm really considering going with a red Shaker and red hockey strips.  I think the red shaker and hockey stripes would make it really stand out and is easily changed if need be.  Since the previous owner had already re-done the seats and dash and they were black originally, I'll stick with the black interior.

It can really take the fun out of the hobby. Hopefully all will work out well

Thanks for all the nice comments. The black with red interior will really pop. I remember seeing a black challenger with red interior at Carlisle and it almost glowed inside

I got to put the rocker gills on today. I had stored them so long that the ends curled up. Thankfully they didn't crack when screwing them on  :2thumbs:

That is one gorgeous almost evil looking combo!
Keep the pics coming I can hardly wait to see her done.

"There's no such thing as putting a '70 AAR 'Cuda exactly where you want it. The 'Cuda isn't interested in such things, for they require finesse. Finesse asked the 'Cuda out to dinner once, but the 'Cuda stood it up to go drink beer under an overpass with her hot little sister. As far as this car is concerned, finesse can go stuff itself."

Thanks Guys. I'm thinking of going with these wheels. Has anybody used the American racing BLVD? I'm thinking 17" fronts and 18" backs....

I never used these rims but saw the same rims on a 69 charger and it looked great.

The wheels came in today. They look excellent but one problem. The two front 17" are fine.

The two rear 18" wheels have the directional tire mounted the same way. Instead of a left and right I have two lefts  >:(

I have to call them tommorow and see how they want to handle it  :hyper:

Is that the factory trim around the rear window painted black or is it a rubber seal?

Thats the stainless factory trim that I sandblasted and painted satin black. I think the original trim for louver cars is textured. Maybe someone can confirm that  :clueless:
