That car is coming together really nice Finoke! :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Thanks Scott! I'm cleaning up the dash for install. I'm hoping to install it later this week. It too has been ready to go in for years!

Yes, that is my goal. Hopefully I don't fall short. I've got 4 full months!

I got the dash in today. I still need to fool with it because it is sitting a tad higher than the windshield channel on the drivers side.  What a pain  :hyper:

I had the same thing happen, nothing major I just gently removed just a little bit of padding under the cover and it worked just fine.

great build by the way, car is looking awesome and of coarse I love the red.   Bruce

Thanks Bruce and thanks for the tip. I will investigate the padding as the cause.

Not hard at all, although I don't know if they will all work yet  :clueless: I think I got it right.

I had to make a big hole where the fuel gauge was. Then I had to mount the temperature gauge in the  blank plastic plug at the far right. Then move all the wires over 1 spot.

Finoke, who's brand and where did you get the Tach from please, there are a few out there from $190-$590, I know you get what you paid for but,,,, $590 is spendy. I want to do teh same thing as you and others have done but will drop the Amp gauge in favor of an Oil Pres gauge, i just need to find someone who sells one read to go, Redline will only convert a gauge you supply, as I live in Au, that has alot of extra $$$$ added to it.

I think I bought my Tach through RTE about 6 or 7 years ago. I'm not sure if they are still in business  :clueless:

I got the valve covers on and spark plugs in today. I also  made sure I'm set on number 1 cylinder TDC of compression stroke.

The paint work on the valve covers looks nice. I just hope I don't need to take them off a bunch before I get the engine running well.
