Shaker Bubble Grille fitment
« on: January 18, 2015 - 05:12:32 PM »
I'm in the market for a shaker bubble.

I suspect from looking at pictures, the shaker bubble at shakerhood.com is the same one's from AAR Fiberglass. Anybody else re pop them?

 :feedback:

Also, I would like to hear feedback on the grille fitments into the holes.
Did you have to modify the fitment of the grilles into the holes?

Pictures if you have any.

Got my bubble and grills from Ben Snowbar. The grill mounting was a joke! Ben supplies little washers to level the grills in the opening and the mounting screws are threaded into the bubble. Heavy grills in thin fiberglass was not going to last long so I opened up the threaded holes and epoxied in some threaded nut certs. Three years and it's still holding.

From the pictures of AAR fiberglass vs. Ben at Shakerhood.com the only differences I see that they drill holes for the adapter ring.

I'm 90% sure he is buying them from AAR fiberglass.
Comparing pictures they look identical.
