Oil Pan Designed to go around or miss Drag Link
« on: January 19, 2015 - 07:13:52 PM »
Who uses one and what manufacturer? I currently have one that allows a pass threw but I need to replace it.  I'm looking for one that is built so there is no pass thru.

Milodon makes good pans that bypass the center link without a thru-hole.

HP2, Thanks I'll check them out. I didn't look for Milodon yet. I really would like to get one w/o a thru hole.

Milodon has a proven reputation with oil control. Their deep sump drag pans all miss the linkage. If your street driving, they make the pro-touring/road race pans that have extra capacity, fit in the stock location, and are no deeper than the K frame. Great for street driving ground clearance.

What motor you have. I got a milodon in my car and take a pic if you like. The only thing I am not happy with is how close one corner gets to the k-frame.
Its just a little 340 with a miss

I have a Keith Black 340 X Block. Currently the car has a modified pan on it, not sure who's but it isn't in good shape.  So I was looking to change it out and possibly get one that doesn't have a pass thru in it.

I can take a picture of pan on my 340 tomorrow if you like. If a 8 quart Milodon. Only went with this due to I plan on running the motor up stairs and heard that the 340 needed more oil to do this.
Car is on jack stands so no big deal to take some pictures.

Denison 636,  if it's not a problem that would be great.  I would like to find one before the season hits just in case.  Thanks in advance

Thanks, those pics are great.  Is that a custom or do you have a part # for it?
