I didn't see any pricing. How dearly?

Where else can they be found or, what other type of valve could be substituted?

In my case, I'm more concerned with function than originality. Original posters opinion may/may not be different.

Hmm, looks like mine has already had a generic unit installed. It matches exactly while the NOS one doesn't.

Cool, thanks.

Thanks bullit but take a really good look at the bracket on the picture I posted. I got one that is generic and was thinking it would be nice if I could get one that bolts in place with out having to fab a bracket.

Everyone sells the generic one. I found one at auto-zone in stock. Guess I will be making a bracket. The picture I posted is the one for a 73 tho and it would bolt in place. The generic one that everyone says replaces it will not bolt in place with out making a custom bracket. When I got it I was did not know and spent 3 hours trying to find that picture I posted. The round plastic ones are for an older model. I'll just get some sheet metal and get back to fab work. Seems like I been doing this way to much for the money spent on some parts.

If your not concerned with originality buy the generic one... My car looks relatively stock so I've tried to keep a stock heater valve on it... Last summer I had the third one fail in twenty years... The first two were less than $30... The last one I found a deal & paid $75ish.... I won't do it again... The body is plastic & they warp causing a leak between the body & diaphragm... 15 years ago my buddy bought the metal valve that came out in mid 71 & it's still fine... I installed a metal valve....

I just cut the new bracket and bolted it to the old bracket. Worked fine.

Got the valve in today. I made more of an issue then it really was. I trimmed the bracket and bent it straight then re drilled two holes.
