It's tempting to just start assembling things when the car comes back from paint. Resist the urge to just start assembling. Things can be assembled in many different ways but if you just wait, and do things in the order the factory did, it will come together much easier.
Start with the headliner. It's easiest if the glass is out and there are no other obstructions to move around inside the car. Once the headliner is in, then install the interior metal trim around the back glass and secure the dome light/rear view mirror. Don't install the metal trim at the top of the windshield or over the side windows just yet. Those pieces go on top of the A-pillar trim. Next, move to the firewall insulation and upper dash insulation. Then install the heater box and DS fresh air door. Install the parking brake mechanism and the upper dash vent duct.(non A/C)
Now is the time to completely restore the dash. Assemble it completely out of the car on a bench or a stand. Once it's all together, install it in the car as an assembly. Once the dash is installed, you can install the plastic A-pillar trim followed by the side window trim and the trim at the top of the windshield.
When I assembled my Challenger, the very last thing I had done was the glass. If the car is housed inside a shop or garage, there is no need to do it right away.
