Install new front swaybar
« on: February 01, 2015 - 06:57:09 PM »
I have a new swaybar from Firmfeel to be installed. Im taking the engine/suspension out now. My LCAs do not have swaybar brackets. (bought brackets from Firmfeel). My question is, should I mockup the swaybar now before I take the LCAs off and spotweld the brackets on there, (so they are in the right place, or can that be done with the LCAs off the K-member?

See if there is someone local that you can use as a pattern and measure the attachment point height. Then weld them on. Even better try and get your nippers on some LCAs with the factory tabs installed

I just loosened the LCAs, just to get the T-bars out and I realize its no big deal to put them back on the K.frame if I need to, when I'm ready to get the brackets on there. I also wanna sandblast them and weld in some reinforcement plates.
