What kind of shocks do you use?

Looking for some input on shocks for a modified e body that is set up for pro tours and driving. Whats under your car and where is the best place to buy shocks?

I'm using QA1 double adjustable and so far they have been great!

I use KYB gas shox on all 4 corners, had them now for 4 years no complaints

Bilsteins are a great shock.  Non-adjustable but excellent for street use and run about $100 per.

I use QA1 single adjustable on the front and KYB gas assist on the rear. I would run QA1 all round if I was a little more serious or tracked the car. even though I have single adjust, they work great, each click is significantly noticable. The rear works fine for street work.

That said,,,,, I have changed out my front QA1's from the standard Mopar sized shock to the slightly shorter camaro shock, reason being, as I have set the ride hight fairly low the Mopar sized shock was opperating in the very last 1/2" of stroke and I was worried I might bottom out the shock, the camaro length simply gives me a little insurance, something to consider if running a low stance.

Put them on last spring and I'm very happy with the ride improvement. Just a street car though.

Monroe replacement shocks, that's about all I remember about them.
Very soft boat-like ride before to now nice and firm without being rough.

I use Edelbrock non adjusting. They are supposed to be road sensing whatever that means! They do keep the rear wheels solidly planted on rough corners. iE no wheel hop. A little on the firm side for ride quality but not overwhelming. Happy with them.

KONI Red "D" adjustables.  I've had the fronts re-valved a little stiffer to match up with my 1.24 TBs (425 lbs/in); the rears are a-ok out of the box and work well with my Flex-A-Form fiberglass monoleafs (225#/5" arch).

Fronts are set at "full-stiff";  rears are set at ~1/2 stiffness.

Adjustable shocks are the best for "tuning" the suspension.
