To straighten a bent PS pulley or Not
« on: February 08, 2015 - 05:23:17 AM »
I removed the power steering pulley but bent it up :(  It's not too bad but it's still bent.  Does anyone know how or where I can go to straighten it?  Or would I be better off trying to locate a good OEM one?  Thanks.

I am hard pressed to imagine you will ever be able to get it straightened enough to avoid runout and some amount of vibration.   I'd go find a replacement if it were me.  That said, one of the mechanical wizards here may have a way to do it.

I bought one off e-bay and off course it was bent and would wobble. I was able to straighten it by putting it on a tappered pin bar and using a rubber mallet to remove the run out. They are easy to bend.
