Been tying up a lot of loose ends. I have a bunch more photos I'll load soon. It's on the ground and almost all back together. Need to install the hood and related parts. Cleaning up wiring and need to order a few misc parts(air cleaner, rad shroud, etc.) then it's off to the alignment shop. Engine runs real nice and no leaks, good oil psi. Trans is back in and shifts smooth.

Cranked down the hotchkis torsion bars and she is in the weeds, it's aggressive and I f***ing love it!

finishing up the spark plug wire routing. Msd wires, msd wire loom and surprisingly some black zip ties made for a super clean look.

Nice but last pick they look awfully close to headers...

It's the angle of the closeup. The last pic and the 2nd to last are the exact same loom.

Have a generic summit racing 14x3 air cleaner assembly. I'll eventually run a mopar oval once I can justify dropping that kind of cash on one  :money: Hoping it clears the rt hood, seems like it sits a bit high but we'll see. Waiting on a red k&n filter to put in the air cleaner to add some more red to the engine bay. Also put on some spark plug boots

Same intake on my car, similar air cleaner. My money says it will clear. Not by much, but it will fit.

So I finished cleaning up my wiring and now I'm having starting issues so I messed something up. Only other thing I did was replace the plastic inline fuel filter with a steel one.

When I crank the engine over, it cranks kind of stumbles but won't start. I had the 4 and 6 wires switched originally. Fixed those and verified order, still won't start. Battery is charged, fuel is spraying into the carb when I move the throttle linkage, fuel pressure is around 4-6. Will pull a plug tomorrow to check spark. Other than pulling spark plug wires, the only other wires I touched were the positive and negative from the msd to the battery. I cut them to shorten excess, Would I get these symptoms if I accidentally switched them when splicing? Everything else from a wiring perspective stayed as is.

Figured I'd post on here for any ideas where to look before I start ripping apart all the wire looms...

Switching + and - on the box could blow it. But if you got spark, I would double check correct firing order and that 1 is on correct TDC, I put my cables in half a turn off once, it will stumble then.

I didn't change the spark plug wiring at the distributor from when it was running a week ago. I did pull the plug ends to install heat boots so thats how I messed up 4 and 6. Fixed now. I'm going to trace the wiring first for the + and - from the msd box. I was pretty sure I didn't mix them up but who knows; to run the extended length to the trunk I have both as  black wires because that's all I could find locally. On the first turn of the key I heard a poof and there was a small bit of smoke but I thought it was it was a backfire through the carb as a result of changing out the fuel line and possibly not enough fuel getting to the carb yet/some old fuel that's been sitting in the carb bowls.

Did you hear that poof before the starter position (ignition on position) or when the engine turned over?
