Cuda Guy Project Update
« on: February 12, 2015 - 12:49:52 AM »
Here are some pics and a video from my recent trip back to he mainland.  The plan was to pick up the cuda from Mopar Al's and then store it for the next year or two while I'm in Hawaii and add to it from there.  I got to Alabama and hit Mopar Al's Speed Shop and I was on a tight timeline and wanted get exhaust and frame rails installed on the cuda. I got the exhaust done but didn't have the time for the frame rails, no appointment etc.  So spent the day with Alan at his speed shop with my family in tow.  Loaded the cuda up after the exhaust was installed and headed back to TN.  Got to TN and I couldn't wait to drive the cuda.  I drove it for about half a day and due to traction issues I knew I couldn't leave the car in TN.  The next day I took the cuda back to Mopar Al's (only 150 miles from my Moms house) to finish up the rest of the work I want done.  Here are a few things Alan is going to do over the next year or so:

- Install caltrac mono leaf system
- Street/strip shocks
- Fuel system upgrades
- Frame rail install
- Much wider rear rims and drag radials

The car is so powerful and took some getting used to.  The 493 Mopar Al built is a very powerful engine and rev's so fast!  I cant say enough about how happy I am with the engine and all the work Alan has done.

If you guys are looking for a full drag engine or just a weekend cruiser build contact moparal here on c-c.com he will get you what you want!

Don

That car sounds fantastic!  Are you going to switch your "340" decal out or leave it a sleeper?  :naughty:

This is part of the plan also.  I have a bad feeling all roads end with a cage and I don't know how I feel about that.  What is the time limit for a cage?
