Favorite threads
« on: February 12, 2015 - 09:42:38 AM »
I would like to save threads as favorites, so I later can easy go back and read them without searching. Sometimes searching dont give the results I want and I might forget what words to search for. I dont know how customizable this forum is and if its even possible. But it is my suggestion anyways. For now I e-mail the threads I wanna go back to to myself, with the "send topic" button,  but it requires a lot of organizing in my e-mail program.

I think that if you hit the "Notify" button it will let you know any time there is a post/reply in the thread you select. Will that work for you?

Not really, thats good for answers to my, or others posts, but if I try to go back and find some useful info, that I know I read 6 months ago, there might not be any new post at the time I need the info. And on the other end, I dont want 30 e-mails about that subject when I dont need it either...There is so much great info here, and sometimes that info is in a post with a totally different tread name, so its sometimes hard to find. The search function will bring back so many results (a search for "wipers" just got me 579 posts). The best I found so for is what I said in my original post, send topic. But a favorite marking on posts that got saved with my profile would be great, if possible.

Why not just start a new file in your computers favourites and save them there? That's what I do.

Thats probably even easier than my e-mail solution. I did not even think about that!  :clueless:

don't think that's really possible through our software to track threads here.  but another idea I had was to favorite a thread through your browser.  you can create a cuda-challenger favorite folder in your browser and add all threads you like to that folder.  the links wont ever change so you should be fine.  can even give the favorites a name so you can get a quick reminder of what its about without having to go there

Yes, that working better for me, I just created a CC favorites folder, and I can name all bookmarks there, so that is easier, still a bit of oranizing, got a lot of saved threads, but much better, thanks guys!

I do similar to brad. I save them into a folder on my desktop as a PDF. It saves all the images in there also, nothing worse then going to a bookmarked thread to find the images are now gone  :faint:
