440 RB Edelbrock Fuel injection, EDIS ignition system

Located in Sacramento, CA.

Sold my 440 to go gen III hemi, so I can't use this. Edelbrock 440 XT intake manifold, Edelbrock 90MM LS throttle body, TPS and Idle air motor, Edelbrock 35 lb/hr injectors, Ross Machine Racing fuel rails machined for -8 ORB fittings. Setup with -6 fittings for returnless fuel system. tThere is a mounting bracket if you want to run a return style regulator using a 90 degree fitting to the drivers side fuel rail (Was using Aeromotive A1000 regulator - not included). Ford EDIS 8 (4.6L crown victoria etc.) waste spark ignition module (no cam sensor needed), coils from DIY autotune and moroso 11mm plug wires on custom bracket that mounts in the lifter valley underneath the manifold (with stock valley pan. Custom crank trigger bracket bolts to the water pump, timing cover and fuel pump mount for stability. Uses Ford 4.6L cam sensor as crank sensor (easy to get at any wrecking yard). ATI super damper with custom trigger wheel, crank bolt and spacer (to keep the crank pulley centered). March serpentine pulleys shims. Ford mid to late 90's internally regulated 3G 120 amp alternator (easy to get at any wrecking yard). Includes harness for ignition, alternator (minus cable to battery), injectors and crank sensor. The injectors are wired for batch (bank to bank) fire. Also included is a 90 degree thermostat housing to clear the throttle body. I will include the wiring diagrams, spare alternator pulleys and a EDIS training kit/videotape and the alternator belt. I was running this system with megasquirt, but any system that does bank to bank injector firing and controls EDIS will run this.

this is a perfect setup for a turbo with the right sized injectors

Things you will need to make this work:
Harness for the TPS and Idle air motor (GM LS - easy to find)
Intake Air Sensor and harness (GM - easy to find)
A high pressure fuel system
An engine controller with related wiring harness

About the engine I had this on:

Internally balanced 440
Stock timing cover
425ish HP

Yes, if I don't get any bites for the whole thing, I'll end up splitting the crank trigger/ignition stuff and the intake stuff.

I was watching your build thread for quite a while. what made you decide on the small block hemi instead of your efi-RB?
I have an available 3rd gen hemi that I was planning for my Cuda. Was going to have a custom harmonic balancer cut for the EDIS to control the spark and EZ-EFI to control the fuel. My 05 5.7 hemi, doesn't use a balancer! So I was thinking of a custom 36-1 timing wheel to replace the internal one on the crank. You controlling all of yours with the megasquirt? I see that it reads the hemi wheel.

How does the XT manifold fit under a STOCK hood?

I would be willing to take this setup off your hands if you still have it. I tried to PM you, not sure if you got it or not. I plain on switching to EFI down the road and also using the mega-squirt 3 setup. Shoot me a PM if you are still selling the system.

I've sold just about everything except the coil packs and the bracket/plug wires.

I was starting to build a 400 based stroker when I came across a deal too good to pass up on a gen 3 motor. The 440 I had in the car was used when I swapped it in there 18 years ago and was showing it's age. Going to the hemi will drop 250 lbs off the front end (the motor weighs 420 lbs). I'm going to use the stock crank trigger on the new motor with the ms3x and two coil driver boxes from diy autotune.

I can't confirm fitment on a stock hood, I only have the AAR hood. I think it would fit under either of the two scoop bulged hoods but I doubt it would fit under a flat hood.

The thought of having a HemiCuda is my plan too. After looking at the cost to rebuild my 340 or 3 spare 440s, the cost to buy all of the parts to fit the gen3 hemi into the Cuda all evened out, so that is my plan. Hope to piece mine together and get it running on the cheap side, EDIS and Ez-efi.

Plan to figure a lot of things out on your own, even buying parts that are supposed to fit, don't really fit that well. I was able to sell most of my big block stuff to offset the cost of the hemi build, but it was still pretty expensive - mainly due to the fact that my motor is not stock. Keeping it close to stock is definitely cheaper, just like any other engine
