Keep in mind some states don't allow tinted front windows. California has pretty ridiculous tint laws for instance. Is the front tinted everywhere, or is it just a sun strip at the top?

I bought clear AMD glass kit for the fact I going to tint the windows black. Green tint on a black car kinda looks funny. The State I live in , South Carolina allow for 27% tint other than the windshield. The 70% that California allows is a joke, I would leave them clear at that point.. But its personal preference whatever you like .

Hmm good thoughts guys, thanks.  I just finished painting my car sassy grass so wondered if that was going to clash.
I THINK the windshield is only tinted at the top for the sun strip.

Hmmmmm

Just installed full set of AMD tinted glass on my 71 Challenger EV2 (Hemi orange). Originally wanted clear but the tinted set was $100 cheaper at the time. Thought "green tint" might be too noticeable but after install couldn't be happier! Living along gulf coast of Alabama with a non-AC car in the summer I'll take all the help I can get with the tint.

as far as glass goes, I bought mine from a local glass shop.  It was 99 bucks installed for the front and 125 for the back. 50 dollar service charge to come to your home and install

Al, I am registered and plan to be there. If you make it down stop by and say hello. My 71 Challenger has the power steering gear in it that I got from you a year and a half ago. It's working great.

call your local glass company.  Especially if you live in a smaller town

Just concerned about thickness - any experience with that?  Ie is what the local shop going to provide be thin relative to stock and be an issue with trim fitment?

The stuff from a local glass shop might be a little thinner.  It won't be an issue though.  If you have a professional install the glass, they can adjust the depth during the installation.  They will also install the trim for you if you want them to.  A glass company will only be able to get tinted glass.  If you want clear, then AMD is your answer.

I have some tinted 70 date coded side glass I plan on bringing to carlisle to give a way to members in need. That is if im allowed to travel.  I think I have dash pieces, chrome, and other odd items also. Some seat belts, I just got to get this stuff gathered up for the needy not the greedy, as most know me
