70 cuda, preliminary estimates

Ok guys, trying to get a ballpark here, I am trying to get out to see the car in person, but based on what we can see here and the info I have, let's start a ballpark estimate of what it's worth, and as I get more info and pictures we can make some adjustments.

Here's what I know
70 'cuda, real cuda, original, numbers matching 383 and 727
Original sheet metal and paint.
Second owner, had the car since 1976
Has louvers, go wing, and hockey stripe (waiting on tag readout to verify originality)
Horrible interior LOL
Mini tubbed
Car was running and driven daily (in the warmer months)until 8 years ago, had a short and melted the bulkhead wiring, been parked ever since. 


So what do u guys think?

You know every time I see a car that was converted to strip use it really loses its luster.

This is due to the fact that you will have to undo what was done to the car and most are more pain then they are worth.

It's really sad when they do this to cars like an AAR, TA and even Hemi's but to each their own.

I'll throw out a guess of low 20's, maybe? Does it run? Frame rust, floorpan & trunkpan rust issues, quarters, etc.

God that interior is hideous!

I was thinking at best $15,000 because its complete. Those louvers are worth big bucks if original. Ralley dash rimblow....

maybe $15-20K tops depending on sheet metal and frame. esp with all the racing mods to fix and that totally shot interior. interesting options though if they are all original (+ rimblow and rocker panel louvers are unique too)

that console .... shoot me now!  :puke:

There is 20 to 30k worth of parts and paint just to get it back to normal.You have a ton of hours just to reverse the mini tub.Being an auto I would not paid more than 12k.It all depends on what type of restoration you are going to do.

$12-15k.  You need to ask yourself what is your plan for the car and how much money and time do you have to get it there.  To fully restore this car is $40-50k min (mechanical and body, paint). If you just want a daily driver, fix the interior/engine/suspension/tires/wheels and who cares about the paint then you are at $15-20k not knowing if it runs.

BTW - I will give you $100 for that fish center cap.   :bigsmile:

I thought Desmond's was a lot better. Running, trans refreshed, interior intact and that shaker.... Also  not mini tubbed.
