Did your wallet bleed?  Color for my current project was 2300... Thats color, the clear was another 700...  Don't even ask about primer...   The days of painting a car for 100-120 are old history...

Yep, about the same cost for me.

Color looks great. factory was GK6? my 71 is that color also, I plan on putting it back that way but am struggling with the decision. FJ6 is pretty. I'm surprised that the color was so expensive. I priced out EK2 in BASF Glasurit (their high end line) and for 6 quarts of color not reduced was $700 from the local paint shop. Was there any paint left over? Solvent or waterborne base coat? looks like a home built booth? Just asking because that is what I have planned also.

Looking at these pictures just made me think of something I've never thought of before.
Your tail panel is painted correct in my opinion by extending the black down to where the bumper mounts

However, I notice you have painted rubber bumpers.....I have to wonder if the area below the tail panel would have been better left green ? Any gap is going to show even more with black behind it :dunno:

I looked at a bunch of OEM pics online, and test there might be a slight gap.  I'm am going to suck the bumper as close as I can.  Kinda like this picture
