Quality resto parts? What brands to use?
« on: March 04, 2015 - 12:03:47 AM »
I am starting to gather the list of parts needed for rebuilding the 73 Barracuda.  I am trying to stay with quality parts and would like to use the E-body experience that you all have.   :worshippy   So who makes the better quality..........

paint gasket set
firewall gasket set
interior screw kit
exterior screw kit
door panels (front and rear)
weatherstrip
out door handles (are they curved or flat for the Barracudas?)
dash pad

There may only be one supplier that makes all these items below but I would like to ask anyway
quarter window roller set
door glass slides
DRIVERS SIDE regulator (needs replaced)

Cuda handles are flat Chall are curved
Detroit gasket for all the body seals
As always I recommend dealing with Dave @ Roseville
he offers member discount & only sells high quality parts
You will probably need a good used window regulator

Metro for the door panels, but I think I heard they are stopping production? if so, get em now (Dave carries em). the black and white panels are standard, but they did a couple short runs of red and blue panels color molded that are still available at a couple places.

I agree 100% with Dave at Roseville if you're looking for "one stop" shopping. The manufactures I would recommend all sell their products through Dave and they are the best quality in my experience :2cents:

Ordered my DMT paint gasket sets today.  Exterior paint gasket kit , firewall gasket kit, heater box kit, and splash shields!  Thanks

I will contact Dave when I have my list completed of other parts that I need.   Just have to figure out if it is best to order everything at once or wait on the dash pad, door panels, carpet.... :blah:
