Navel jelly works really well to stop rust. You can bye it at any parts store.

That's pretty cool, make up your own batch of treatment and spray it, cheaper than those aerosol cans.

I have a gun just like that for sale for 20 bucks.
I used Rust fighter from 3M.

Thanks for the tips everyone.

I am going to try ospho to scrub out the rust, since it is surface mostly. Then try to find some kind of "encapsulator" that I can soak down inside areas I can't get to, that is a good top coating. Apparently ospho is ok for scrubbing it out/ lasts a year or so, but needs to be top coated.

Just to save the time, yes I do know about the adhesion issues related to epoxy( specifically SPI)  and Ospho.

Also thinking of something like a flexible  small bottle/bore brush chucked up in a drill that I can snake inside stuff just for good measure.

Will check out the Rust Fighter by 3m as a top coat option for the areas I can't get to.

It's a mixture kind of like oil and wax that's been emulsified.
It's ideal to spray into frames and rocker panels is all it's ever used for.
Areas that are inaccessable.

As long as you aren't planning on painting after, it's good to use.

It flows then hardens, sealing inside. That is what you use the gun for.

Decided upon ospho. Will use it in areas as a spray that I can't get to. Will use it on panels I can't get to as a way to "scrub rust out." Inside panels will get some kind of top coat over the ospho followed by rust fighter.
