My 3 years search is finally over
« on: March 16, 2015 - 09:15:21 AM »
Hello everyone from NW Florida, I just wanted to say were happy to be here, what a great site for the Challenger and Cuda. Through the years Ive had a 66 Mustang, 68 Camaro SS, Corvettes, and TransAms but about 3 years ago I was ready for a change I decided I wanted to come over to the Mopar side and Im really glad I did. The search for the perfect 1970 Challenger took about 3 years as I was looking for the right paint and options. About a month ago I came across a 1970 Matching #’s 383 Magnum Dodge Challenger TRUE RT JS vin with Pistol grip 4-Speed with the correct B5 Blue exterior paint and we bought her in South Florida. The car has has a complete ground up recent restoration and I think had been sitting in a collectors garage so were Still getting some bugs worked out with brakes, new steering wheel ect. A quick question to anyone, Im 6 ft 4 inches tall what would be the best way to get more legroom from the stock seats? Im considering having a local guy fabricate some longer seat rails. I need about another 4 inches to be comfortable driving her. Still having problems getting any pics of her up but Ill keep trying when I have time.

I'm 6'6" so I know what you mean! I fabricated longer rails under the set and left the floor rails the same. Works great with three extra inches!

Hey Roadman Yes I did.
Lucky you got it. I sold Frank Jr. a sbc engine awhile back and he told me about the car . He had just purchased it and said he planned on selling it.  Then Frank Sr. came to pick up the sbc engine, told me HE wanted to keep it.   :roflsmiley:  Then I talked to him awhile ago he said he reluctently let it go, Grrrrrrrr.   :smilielol:   Anyway I never got to see the car in person but I believe Frank and his son are truthful about the cars they sell.  Anyway, ever get down Kissimmee way, give us a shout, stop by the shop and visit.

Hi Roadman, Thanks very much yeah Frank and his Dad were real good people and a pleasure to deal with. Its nice to meet honest people in this business. We've really enjoyed the car since we bought it, about the only issue Ive run into is that the car has sat too much the brakes needed some work and a few other minor things. Im still trying to figure out how to post some pics on this site, not sure?
