I am not sure why they would be different but either should interchange , I think they used 2 different makes in different years such as Bendix
If you shut off the engine & remove the hose you should be able to rock the check valve & hear the air sucked in if it is holding vacuum , also if the engine is running & you remove the hose & plug it & the engine runs differently / better with the hose plugged then the booster is leaking , this can cause a misfire on the cylinder where the vacuum port is connected as it will run lean with the extra air pulled into that port .
