If I ever make it up to Carlisle again, I would be more than happy to let Jason spank the Cuda on the dragstrip......   :grinno:   :aarg:   :rebel:

Bruce  --  you busted me in front of my friends...     :crying:   I hope you fell much better now....    :poopoke:

But I will be glad to line 'em up with the PA cars and may the best car win. Then after we race each other, it's time to go drink a few cold ones and talk about how much fun we had...      :drunk:

OK...  Barnett Race Cars is doing all the machine work and the block is ready. Wyman Barnett has given all the pertinent measurements to Rick Cassel who is the designer of this engine. He built the car and he knows what's in it and how I intend to use the car. Wyman also tore down the heads and said they were pristine. Just a good clean-up is needed. Hot rod valve job is about it. Guides are great. He said there was enough room to use just about any cam I want, although for the street, it won't be a huge cam at all. He did chide me for too much idling around. He said the backs of the intake valves were carboned up pretty good. He said "you do know that this car was built to run hard don't you?"   :smilielol:  He told me to make sure I keep the soot blown out of it. So, Rick and Wyman are working together to get the pistons made and the cam ground for it. Now  --  I just wait......

Hey Fish....why new pistons?

You going with more compression or were these pistons just worn out?

I am changing the whole rotating assembly. The block came in the door at Barnett's with a bore measurement of 4.503. In the bore cleanup process and making all 8 perfectly round, Wyman ended up at 4.505. So, the old 4.503 pistons were a tad small for the bores. Plus I am going from 10.50 CR up 1 point to 11.50 CR. The cost for the pistons is the same. so I am going up 1 point. It should be no issue for this engine and the gas available around here...

Well, ummmm....   errrrr....   hmmmm.....

The block and heads are at Barnett Performance about 30 miles away. They are ready and awaiting the rotating assembly and camshaft from Rick. The cam and pistons still have to be made, so I really don't have anything to take pictures of at this time. I am going to take pictures of the stuff that I am going to sell. I am going to sell the 528" rotating assembly. All forged Eagle crank and rods with Mahle pistons. And the camshaft which is a custom grind Comp Cams solid roller. I also have 2 - 750 Holley HP's for sale.....
