The torque numbers are somewhere in the high 600's, but I can't remember for sure. I will try and remember to look at the dyno sheets when I get home.     Sounds like I had better bring my "A" game against Mr. Toxic...    :burnout:

I suspect the real reason the Beast is getting beefed is so that it can journey north to PA and settle the score with that orange bowtie. Now that I would like to see and put some skin in the game. Beast! Beast! Beast! Everybody now! Beast! Beast! Beast! ... :burnout:
Fish won't come up here....he says the food up in here in PA isn't good, and he prefers staying down south with the collard greens and grits!

But I gotta say, that Cuda is one awesome car and Ken is one good guy. He's on my top ten list for people I'd love to line up next too and then afterwards, have the privilege of him buying me a bacon cheeseburger and some fries with vinegar.....because my orange bowtie had sushi for lunch.... :grinno: :grinno: :grinno: :grinno: :grinno:

Hey Ken, have you heard from SLOW lately? I get an occasional email from him.

Thanks guys for letting me hang out in here and have some fun.

You guys are alright in my book.

Are these the numbers from when the motor was first built or are they from the current build?

Sorry, I got busy with the thunderstorms that came through when I got home yesterday and I didn't even think of looking up the exact torque numbers.   :misbehaving:  I will try again this evening.

Yummm..  Bacon cheeseburger and fries and cold drinks. You mean I get all that great stuff just for showing up and mashing the throttle with the Great Pumpkin beside me? Awesome....   :grinyes:

I haven't heard from SLOW at all. You are my only means of contact with those two. I hope they are doing fine in the Florida sun.

You are welcome to hang out here with us Mopar folks  --   we all know that your inner self wants a Mopar, so that's close enough...       :poopoke:   :roflsmiley:

Those numbers are from when the motor was first built. I suspect about a 75 HP gain and gobs more torque with the new bullet...

Here's a quick question for all my Cuda'a buddies....

Back when I live in my hometown, there was a guy that had a 70 AAR Cuda. It was black with black lettering. He said it came from the factory that way and was very limited.

Is this fact or fiction?

I had no reason to doubt him, since he was known for being a big Mopar fan, but his wife did have a factory LS6, 454 sitting new in the crate, for a Chevelle project....

No factory "CUDA" lettering on an AAR was any other color except white.

The "CUDA" at the end of the stripe was white ... but maybe he was referring to the stripe itself like this one?

Maybe not as he did specifically say "lettering"? Anyway, I always thought it was kind of odd to put a stripe on which was almost the same color as the car itself. Black AAR stripe on a black car? Black Hockey Stick stripe on a black car? Black Billboard on a black car? Kind of almost defeats the purpose of having a stripe - there is almost no contrast to accent the car with.
Cheers!

What I can remember was, the car was black, the stripe was black and the "AAR" was also in black.

Hey told me this was a rare option and only a small limited amount were made like this.

The car "appeared" to be all stock, it had the six pack under the hood and it wasn't a "hopped up" kid's type car.

He was a farmer, so it was in one of his client controlled barns and it was a very nice looking car.

At the time, I had no idea to say whether he was right or wrong, I only knew about Camaro's.

I might be 52, and saw that car when I was in my 20's, but the car was so nice, it put a lasting image in my brains. It looked factory stock and to think about it, back then, there wasn't hardly any repo decal companies, like there is now, so adding them in black wasn't something I could see him doing. I can remember seeing those black "AAR" letters and they looked factory but the one thing I don't remember seeing is the red, white and blue AAR sticker.
As he said, this car came from the factory, black on black and was a rare option.
I just sent my old high school buddy a message to see if he remembers this car and pick his brain on it.
All I got to say is, it was super nice and it made me really want to own a Cuda.
