Trust me Fish....there was a total of three 1970 Cuda's that I liked back then, one was this AAR, one had a 340 in it that ran wild, and another one had a 440 in it and I cried when he totaled it. He had the 3.5" front Centerline drag wheels on it and hit a curve going to fast ands the tires folded off the rim. That car was beautiful, until this happened.
I'd take yours if you really forced it on me...LOL

Ok Roadman, here ya go. I wrote down the pertinent numbers straight off of the engine dyno printout:

The pull was from 4000 to 6000 rpm.

Max HP was 788.1 @ 6000 rpm

Max TQ was 693.2 @ 5000 rpm

Avg HP from 4000-6000 rpm was 637.72

Avg TQ from 4000-6000 rpm was 641.66

528 CI HEMI. Indy 426-1RA cnc ported heads. Custom solid roller cam. Approx .640" lift. 10.50 forged bottom end that was blueprinted and balanced. 2-1/4" custom headers. Ray Barton massaged crossram with two Holley 750 HP's running #73 jets. This pull was 36 degrees timing on pump gas.

Just wondering because the solid roller I have, has more lift and I'm smaller in the cubic inches.

Any word when the shop will be done with things?

There are a couple of reasons for the .640" lift.

You don't need a ton of lift when you are opening and closing 2-1/4" valves.  The smaller the valve, the higher off the seat you need to move it to flow the same air as a larger valve at lower lift.

The HEMI head is designed so that shrouding of the valve is minimal compared to a wedge engine. The configuration and valve layout makes the air flow around the total valve seat area almost the same. Wedge heads have to overcome the valve being right next to the cylinder wall  -- ie - shrouding valves. The air doesn't flow as well right next to the cylinder wall as it does on the opposite side of the valve.

Those two things mean that the HEMI doesn't need a whole lot of lift to flow a lot of air...

I usually kept the idle around 1000 rpm. It would idle 600 -- 700 if I wanted it to, but I always wanted to make sure there was enough oil getting slung around to keep oil on the lifter rollers.

Here is an old vid of me playing in our parking lot one morning before work. My car starts at around the 2:00 minute mark. I try a few dry burnouts, but the 18" wide slicks don't sit and spin very well...    :smilielol: 

Anyway, you can here the old combo with some throttle and while idling.
