Well, the Beast lives again....   :grinyes:  I was able to fire it up. I was not able to get a video of it last evening. The issue was that the headers had oily handprints on them and they were smoking something awful  --  while inside my attached garage. The smoke detector was raising cain and I was having trouble seeing and breathing...   :roflsmiley:   I shut it down after I got some heat in the engine. I got it up to about 165*.  It needs to have the carbs adjusted to the new engine and the timing set. I will do that Saturday and get a video of it running then and post it up shortly after that....

Thanks for all you fine folks support. This has been a year long journey...

BTW  --  it sounds pretty bada$$.....

Well, I FINALLY got the BEAST running under it's own power again after more than a year of rest in my garage at home. I am currently putting a couple of short videos on youtube and I will link them up here in a little bit so you fine folks can hear it run. It has a vacuum leak that I will address next weekend. The leakls are causing it to idle too high, but we drove it home -(10 miles) and it ran flawlessly. I had brought it up here to the shop to repair an oil pan gasket leak. It is dry as a bone now...    :2thumbs:

Anyway, stand by for the videos a little later today...

Ok  --  at long last, here is the much promised video of the Beast running with the new bullet. The videos are cheesy cell phone quality and they sound crappy. Trust me - it sounds very healthy in person....

First fire up - running the transmission through the gears with no load.

My son pulling it out of the shop. We decided he could drive it home for me...

I'm guessing anywhere from 9.50's to 9.80's depending on the air that day.  The last trip to the track the DA was 2973 and that slowed me down 2 1/2 tenths to 10 flat.  We shall see....    :burnout:

Have you ever taken your Beast to the track?
