Ken, what's going on with the Beast? Get it all sorted out and dialed in?

Sorry for the delay in responding, I just saw this post...   :misbehaving:

To answer your question, I did finally get it all sorted out and running great. It has been too hot for much driving so far.. I can tell you this, it has a LOT more torque than the 528 did. I ACCIDENTALLY went through an intersection Saturday sideways...   :22yikes:  This engine is pushing 800 ft/lb's torque and 840 HP. I was in line at a rural intersection redlight. I was about the 8th-9th car in line when the light turned green for us to go. There was a Ford truck in front of me and a late model Camaro behind me. Anyway, as I got near the intersection, the light went yellow. The truck in front of me flashed his brakes as if he was going to stop. I hit the brakes and stared slowing down when suddenly the truck decided to go. I was still on the brakes and I looked in my mirror and the Camaro didn't appear to be paying attention. So I decided that I didn't particularly want to get rear-ended by an errant BowTie, I hit the throttle pretty good while in 2nd gear and instant wheelspin. Keep in mind, these are Hoosier 18" slicks at 35 miles per hour. That got my attention in a hurry..   :burnout:  I would normally be in 3rd gear at that time, but I was in 2nd. If I had been in 3rd gear, the converter would have slipped enough to keep the rear tires from breaking loose, but in 2nd, I was above the stall speed and it sent all the throttle I had applied straight to the tires. Lesson learned - don't play with that kind of power...  LoL....    :roflsmiley:

Well Oldschool.....don't get to used to seeing that BowTie in your mirror.......

My new motor will make sure of that.......

Come on, you know I had to say something about that posting and I think you even said that as bait for me to say something!

I know your games....LOL

Did you get Hank a car seat for the Cuda yet?

Cooler weather coming soon on the east coast, time for you to get some nice burnout video's of the Cuda.

C'mon buddy, I made sure to say it was a late model Camaro. I didn't want to raise your old blood pressure..  LoL...

Hank is scared of the car. He heads in the house when I start it up....   :roflsmiley:  I am looking forward to the cooler weather and I am actually planning on making a new burnout video while the old slicks are still on the car. I have 2 brand new slicks awaiting mounting in my basement...

Hey Fish.....quick question.

A friend just told me, his buddy found a motor, at an auction, that was pulled out of the car in 1963, covered up and forgotten about.

He said it was a 426 Max Wedge, factory race motor.

The guy paid $2500 for the motor.

What is something like that worth?

Just parts off that engine can be worth a fortune , Special heads can be $1500 or more for the pair , intake could be $2000 , exhaust manifolds are similar 1500+ for a pair

It sounds like there was more than just the 426 Wedge that came with the price of $2500.
I heard he also got a 383 and a 440.
Looks like he got a good deal then....
