New guy from San Diego
« on: March 23, 2015 - 01:44:26 AM »
Hello forum members, good to be here. I don't know too much about Mopars but I'm here to learn. My father in law gave me his numbers matching 1970 Dodge Challenger 318 2-bb. He bought it in Oahu when he was stationed there in the 70's. It was his daily driver until the late early 90's. It been stored in his garage and has not been started in 8 years or so. I had it towed to my place recently where i will start slowly working on it. I don't know too much of what i have on my hands but i promised him i would restore it. It was originally a green color but he primered it black prior to storing it. Attached are some pictures

Very nice gift from you father in-law....all I got from mine was his daughter.  :scared: :smilielol:

Your car looks like a good starting point.

What are your plans for it?  Back to stock, weekend cruiser, resto mod, full on show car, street sleeper???

Welcome to C.C. Great starting point you have there. 1970 is a really cool car. I've had 3 of them! Congrats!  :bigshades:

I plan to make it a weekend cruiser for now....but i love having an RT hood or a T/A hood. So many ideas running thru my head with this car, i have to get it started first!
