They finished the '71 Challenger on last nights show. He bought the '71 RT (not sure if it was a real RT) for $42,000, blew through their $15,000 budget and ended up spending $35,000 for a total of $72,000. They also stripped of whatever they could from the 2015 pre-production Challenger. He ended up selling it for $150,000.
I think it ended up pretty cool because they did not do any body fabrication, only the tunnel. It had a Magnum Force front and rear suspension, Willwood discs, the 392 from the 2015 Challenger, custom seats that actually looked pretty good and close to original with some side support. They had to get another set of UCA after the tires had too much negative camber, custom wiring and custom exhaust just to make it fit. The one thing I did not like was the "rallye" type wheels from US Mags.
At least they did a Mopar and did not completely ruin it.
