Non Numbers matching Tranny, No Broadcast sheet and an Automatic Trans at $113K
Wow, there is a ton of cars out there priced lower with more to offer than this car.
Way over priced IMO :2cents:

They are really out of their minds to be asking that much for the AAR. I honestly think that it will become an expensive paper-weight oh their showroom floor.

Priced right for what it is :2thumbs: and you get what you pay for. All though he is in Canada his prices are USD

Here are the things I see being a two time 1970 R/T SE owner as I know these cars pretty well. I owned a 6 Pack car before my U-Code car and here is what I see and there could be more as the description does not disclose everything.

-All the 14" Five spoked Road wheels came with 14" trim rings with the satin finished trim rings - not polished
-After Market Tires instead of the Polyglass
-Incorrect SE Badges on the vinyl roof (Those are over the counter Dodge emblems but not born with emblems)
-Automatic Transmission car not worth as much as 4 Speed cars
-No Power brakes and it may have drum brakes on the front but he does not mention it in the ad (So need to ask)
-Incorrect over the counter Mopar ignition box on firewall
-Incorrect Air Filter Cleaner
-Standard Rear End with no optional DANA
-Incorrect spare tire hardware
-Non popular color choice
-High maintenance 6 Pack car (Better know if the car runs well as 6 packs are a pain in the a@@ to tune, I know this from experience)
-No mention of Documents or a Broadcast Sheet
-A dealer car which could have there ups or downs if you know what I mean :stirpot:

You know your stuff Danny. I thought about and noticed some of the things that you mentioned. I do like the 6-Pac and I like the color also. I would need to talk to them about the documents.

If you want to buy one of the best restored 1970 Challenger's on the planet....Buy this car today for $65K USD and use the money you save to buy a set of rally wheels and be done with it :2cents:

Hi Alan, I really don't care for a two tone paint car. I prefer vinyl. It is a nice car though.

Alan isn't that car an Auto on the column car?
Is it all numbers matching Motor & Trans?

YES...It is a very rare "auto on the column"  I believe it is numbers matching, but could be wrong. :clueless:

Danny, I am looking for a 4 spd car but I could overlook the auto tranny for a good running 6-Pac car.

Hasn't that car been for sale for almost 10 years???? It is well known around here for not having the original motor, unless all the Mopar guys that talk to me in the Toronto Area are all lying.
Don't get me wrong Dave did an extremely nice job on the car but the auto on the column would make that car an extremely hard sale no matter how rare it is.

The car has been for sale for five years maybe, not ten. As previously discussed there's a limited market for "U" code E Bodies :2cents: The problem is that this car is restored to such a level with such a large amount of money invested, that nobody wants to pay what they were asking...The first listed price I believe was $150K and has steadily been reduced to a more realistic "U" code value. Now $65K USD will take it.

Dave and Steve spent $135K on the restoration with doing a lot of the work themselves. It's the closest thing to OE Gold around this area of Canada.

You could be right about the matching numbers, but I'm not certain. They've done a couple of cars.

Prior to this car, they restored a FJ5/V9Y column Auto 70 Challenger U code as well which sold easily for $90K. They are two of the best restorers is Southern ON and well certainly show that with their next car, a FM3 V code 4spd 70 Challenger. :worshippy

I agree, way too much self promotion on this site now.  A 71 Cuda was not the only E Body ever produced!
