Differential lube

has any one used hte Lucas diff lube with any results in quieting down noisy gears.  It claims it can be used either as 50% mix or even 100% lube.  it also says you would not need any other additives for limited slip setups.  Also wondering about the Vavoline full synthetic 75-140?  anyone used that with success in quieting down the Diff?
I'm Just trying to prolong the need to spend $1400 on a replacement.

John, if Lucas- or any other lube manufacturer for that matter, were able to cure the woes of a noisy diff with any certainty, the diff shops would be out of business. It's noisy for a reason- either a bearing or gear engagement problem being the most likely. This months CarCraft has an article on rebuilding a 8.75 SG Mopar diff and it sure didn't cost $1400. You might quieten it down a wee bit with a lube change, but leaving it go will only cost more in the (rear)end. Just my

most of what I have read do not recommend synthetic oil for diffs
 What type of noise ?
Whine on accel or decel is usually gear mesh or all the time is brgs

Think I did my 3rd member for under 500 and that was paying to have the gears set up for me.

I had a 65 Fury III that started doing a semi lockup at the rear end suddenly, I always use Lucas products , but as all have said that won't fix those problems there.

Really? How come? That's all I use in my Challenger, my truck, ....
