That's what we got from the factory, you can also see we have a console without the ash tray.

Maybe Alan can "correct" them when he does the restoration….

Thank you Judy.
Is it possible for you to take closer pics of the receiver end and plus the retractors?

Thank you,
Tom

And this is why I posted this question.

A pic of 1971 Cuda seat belts and retractors. Please???

Do you have the correct seat belts in your other 71 hardtop? The rear belts are identical for either a hardtop or a convertible. Why are you concerned with correctness on your car since it was one that was never actually made?
The ones Alan posted, did you note the description supplied by PG Classic:  "E and B convertible" Do you know of a 71 B Body convertible? Yet I said that they were B Body. They are because the stitching style in the picture is one that was only used on B Body 71 cars. NOT on E Body vehicles, convertible or otherwise.

Please explain "stitching style" ?

I'm pretty certain PG Classic's is NOT concerned with whatever detail that might be...

PG is not concerned with detail in the least.

The stitching pattern they are using is the same as what was used by American Safety, Pontonier uses a different pattern. Pontonier belts were only available on E Body cars in 1971. American Safety belts were used in 1971 B Body cars. Or are you going to pull another "never say never" opt out clause on me? Also, the chrome ends and anchor ends were stamped according to the company that made the belts.  American Safety used different stampings that Pontonier did. Same goes for the buckles.

No, but I am going to agree with you that, that is not a detail PG Classic would care about, nor would 99% of the people buying PG Classic's products. :2cents:

I've used probably a dozen or so sets of PG's belts....Next time I think of it, I will compare them to the originals before I toss the originals out... :2thumbs:

You don't restore cars, you build cyborgs.

Call it what you will. I've most likely built more E Bodies then any other restoration shop out there. :worshippy

My hardtop did not come with seat belts when I purchased it so I couldn't refer to it for any comparison.

And the reason I am looking for correctness is because I want to.
