833 pictures
« on: March 31, 2015 - 02:39:40 PM »
does anyone have photos of how the shift levers should look on the transmission? I am having a horrible time with the 1-2 shift and it is driving me nuts. In 1st, if I get on it hard it will buck out of gear and pop back in. Second does not always grab, will occasionally grind when it does grab and sometimes grinds with the clutch in. Second is really finicky when it is going to grab but once it is in it drives just fine until the next time I have to shift to second. I do a lot of 1 - 3 shifting right now. Any ideas help. I know my mount is toast and will be getting replaced later tonight. But I don't know if I have the levers in the right spots.

What type of A833 do you have? standard or overdrive? it make a difference on how the levers should be pointed.

here is a good thread on an overdrive setup. http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=86395.msg933269#msg933269

Mine was supported by one heavy duty dolly and high performance casters with high speed aircraft grease.

So comparing both pictures, mine will move faster with less drag when moving it swiftly across the shop.  :P

Edit: tailored down the details a bit.
