Thoughts of the value of this car.  Originally a six cylinder.  VIN BH23B0E140497

Currently I have a '70 'cuda with numbers matching 383 and 4 speed. Problem is it needs absolutely everything. It's currently waiting for a turn on the grame table at a shop.  I've always wanted to go a pro touring route with my car.  So if the price was right on this car listed for sale it would be tempting for me.  It's even the right color I've always imagined for my car.  If it's as nice as it appears to be in the photos I could swap in a 5 speed manual, disc brakes, and a Hotchkis kit and be a pretty happy camper.  I just think $49,900 seems pretty high for a Barracuda even if it is nice with a big block now.  Tell me what you all think of it.  Email I received from the seller didn't say a whole lot.  I'll have to probe some more.  Supposed to have a fender tag on the car, but I didn't get a picture of it yet.

It's a nice looking car!

The price is a little high though. $40,000 or less would be a better number.  Although you would be hard pressed to build it for the $49,000 asking price unless you did a lot of work yourself.

Things that hurt the top dollar asking price: Non ralley dash, automatic, needs new seat covers, engine details.

Right now I think I'll have about $40k in mine to get to a painted shell.  I agree a price on the car I linked to that started with a 3 would be much better.  I'll have to get some more info from the dealer for sure.

Not bad candidates.  Always negotiate a price.  Im sure you can get close to whatever your budget is.

Hey magnetic, I could be wrong but I think that M46 car used to be owned by a member on here. Cool car! Why not post some pics and details of your current car on here...a numbers matching 4-speed Cuda sounds like what somebody might be looking for!   Give an asking price or ask WIW and try to sell it. I'm thinking that will go a ways towards you just buying one and having some fun!   :burnout:

For $50K you could get a nice original CUDA, not a 318 Barracuda :2cents:
