Hmmmmm
"In fact, it would cost you well over $250,000 to replicate a car of this caliber from ground up."
And a TKO is "bulletproof", right. I had mine worked over by a shop that takes them from stock inferiority up to 700 lb ft tq capabilities and they even gave me a disclaimer and told me that you still can't abuse it. To me "bulletproof" means that even if beat on and abused it can take it.
250K to replicate that? Nope. They state in the ad that the outside was left stock looking on purpose so you're not looking at custom fabrication metal work. You can find a real nice stock small block 'cuda/Barracuda for 30K that doesn't need bodywork, click on Reillymotorsports.com and order up their complete catalog for under 10K, worked over SRT crate engine at 20K, 5K for a TKO kit. $1500 exhaust. Finally, those stale wheels that are cheeeep.
I think the car is in the $70,000 - $87,500 price range. I would like to be corrected if I'm wrong but I don't think the seller is the builder. You know you never get out of a car what you put in it UNLESS you build modified cars for a living and have deals with companies to use their parts and have customer funded jobs. If you do the work yourself and you are RESTORING cars there is a profit in that. BUILDING customs and then trying to sell them is hardly profitable. Some have a nack for design like Steve Strope, Foose, Trepanier, but the market is so subjective. It's a custom car so not everyone is going to be willing to pay whatever it takes to get it. You are looking for that ONE buyer.
I have a feeling this seller is adding the receipts and factoring the very top of the range in labor/hr cost.
I could be completely wrong on all of this. I have know clue what I'm talking about. I'm just building a car like this with a $25K engine and basically all of the other parts this car has in it.
