440 Intake Gasket Recommendations
«

Hello.
I have 1968 440 with 906 Heads. I will be installing Edelbrock's RPM intake.
I was wondering what type of intake gasket I should use since I will be installing an aluminum intake to steel heads?
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

Personally I've never had good results using the paper gaskets with the pan... I use the 1215 pan, throw away the paper gaskets & use Yamabond 5 on both sides of the pan around the ports... Never had a issue...
For those who aren't familiar with Yamabond 5 it's used to seal motorcycle engine cases without using a gasket... Impervious to oil & gasoline, once you try it you'll be using it for all those annoying hard to seal areas..

I use the paper gasket between the heads & pan Only , 4 paper gaskets & you will not get the intake on !!
but a good sealer like Yamabond will work too
