Hey Alan, were you the one who took that Challenger, blew up the motor and then sold it to some other sucker through Mark? He did say the prior owner was from Canada and that he threw a rod while it was idling.

Could be a very nice episode... The blown 440 on the sunroof Challenger should a nice documentary about the reasons an engine could suffer such damage...

Although it seemed the motor had been abused, Mark repaired the engine at no cost to the customer and even though this restoration was completed over a year ago and the motor wasn't even built by Mark's guys. You have to give Mark credit for standing behind his restorations.

I would have a really good chuckle when someone told me they threw a rod so bad it cracked the side of the block off and it was done at idle.

Then I would sell them some florida swamp land.

I dough that engine was idling when it came apart! and how much of A coincidence was it to the 340 that started knocking, and they found some sort of an abrasive in the oil.

That's for sure. He must have spent a lot of money to find a year's matching block,  rebuild it and finally put it on the Challenger...
