1971 cuda 340 4sp
« on: April 19, 2015 - 06:15:55 PM »
The car is a h code 340 4 sp car.  I have the build sheet and fender tag.   The car came with few options.
The engine is correct but not numbers matching.  The engine is 2 months off from the date on my door sticker.
Engine has been freshly rebuilt and trans shifts great with new clutch.  Rear is (489) 391.  The car has about 60 percent of its original paint.  The other 40 percent was bare metal and I put cheap paint on it so it doesn't rust.
Interior is original   Lights, gauges speedo, tach all work.  All numbers match except for engine.  The car has dents and dings but very little rust.  Car needs a lot of hammer and dolly work,  it doesn't look near as good in person as the pictures.  Also the car does not have the original carb, air breather or exhaust manifold.

What is the car worth? It is a factory billboard car.  Some of the sticker is still on the car around marker light.

What's it worth? Probably not the expense of restoring it. You should just sell it ... to me! :bananasmi

Well I'll just say it before any of the other pundits do ... got a pic or code readout of your fender tag? That should help zero in on a value as to what it may be worth.
Cheers!

The car has the original fender tag and build sheet.  They are in great condition
The main thing wrong with the car is that it's ralley red.

post the tag, nothing wrong with red. mine is GK6 (brown) I would rather have red but oh well. Hard to tell from pics but running and driving I'm guessing 25-28k needing a resto and all the parts are restorable. Where are you located?

Quick sale = <$20K - $25K
Average sale =$25K - $30K
Drawn out sale = $30K - $35K
Long term sale = $35K - $40K
Never going to sell = >$40K +

Nice car, I would be a buyer at a fair price for both of us if you decide to sell. Where are you located?
