Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the entire air cleaner assembly on backwards?

thanks gang!

There is only one way it can actually go on. So yep, she's on there right. There are several six pack set ups depending on the model/hood. This baseplate is not technically the "right one" for a t/a hood, but hey since its not a real t/a (obviously) who's counting?

So I did some digging around, and near as I can tell, looks like this specific baseplate was intended for a 69 B body? Not sure if anyone can confirm, but here it is on a couple of 69 Coronets. I ordered mine as a kit from Herbs Parts so I'm not sure. I'd looooove to get the T/A baseplate so it seals to my hood, but that frankly is $700 that I'd rather not spend, especially since I think this one looks dead sexy as is!

That makes sense, I didn't realize that the T/A base plate was different. I was just looking at mine and trying to figure out if mine was on backwards, but the breather hose attachment is on the back of the base plate where I thought it was supposed to be.

Sorry to hijack, the car looks awesome! Silver and blue always looks great!

Nice! That's a great looking set up you got there! Yeah the T/A base is more of a "Bowl" if you will...similar to the A12 bee's and runners, but a little more oval, whereas the A12's are more rectangular. The rubber gasket from each seals to the airbox in the hood. I can't say for certain, but I think the A12 base goes for something insane like $1200. So I guess I should not complain about the $700! I copied the links to a couple more images below:

This link is for a 340 which the AAR and T/A had, not a 440 that Travis has.  The picture above is correct for a 440 on an e-body.

Yep, sure is. However, that baseplate also fits on a 440. Looks pretty sweet too..I bumped into a guy who had it on his 440 6 challenger, and it looked soooo good.

Can't quite tell what this is on, but here it is on a BB. I thought it was the A12 base at first, but you can see its much more oval shaped. Soooo bad ass!
